Appointment FAQs

  • All patients must place a credit or debit card on file when making an appointment. If you do not notify us within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged for the full $130-200 visit fee depending on the type of appointment (this will NOT be covered by insurance).

After TWO no-shows, we will have to discharge you from our care.

  • TennCare Plans: They will pay for 100% of your consultation needs. The following plans are accepted:

Commercial Insurance Plans: Lactation benefits and insurance can be confusing. We have many ways to get your visits covered and we wilL exhaust every option!

PLEASE NOTE: The Lactation Network is a 3rd party we are contracted with to bill insurance for lactation services. If they are unable to pre-verify your insurance, we can still see you and either attempt to bill your insurance directly OR provide you with a superbill for reimbursement if you use the self-pay option.

  • Depending on your insurance plan, you may have a co-pay or deductible to meet. If that applies, we will let you know ASAP.

Patients who are approved by The Lactation Network and patients who have TennCare will be covered at 100% with no out-of-pocket expense.

If you choose the home-visit option, there is a $50 travel fee that is not covered by insurance (commercial plans only).
